What impact levels mean
How Mandate rates High, Medium and Low impact, and how that differs from your own priority.
Every assessed bill gets an impact level. It is Mandate's estimate of how much the bill would affect your organization if it passed, based on your description and topics.
- High impact. Likely to change how you operate, what you pay or what you must comply with. Read these first.
- Medium impact. Relevant and worth watching, with a smaller or less certain effect.
- Low impact. Touches your area but probably will not change much for you.
- Not relevant. Matched your search terms but does not appear to affect you.
Impact is not your priority
Impact is the AI's rating. Priority is yours to set on the bill page, and it never changes the AI rating. Use both: impact to triage, priority to plan your work.
Suggested action date
Some assessments include a suggested date to act by, such as a hearing. It is AI derived. Confirm dates and status on the official source.
If ratings feel off, sharpen your organization description and topics in Tracking setup.
