Declares August 10 as Mexican American Day in the State of Illinois in celebration of the history, identity, achievements, and enduring contributions of Mexican Americans to the State and nation. Encourages residents, educational institutions, community organizations, businesses, and public officials throughout Illinois to observe Mexican American Day by recognizing Mexican American history and contributions and promoting understanding, civic engagement, and opportunity for future generations.
