As introduced, Bill 26-804 would expand the cadet program to include graduates of District high schools ages 25 to 40 years of age and require those who complete the cadet program to commit to serving at least 5 consecutive years with the Metropolitan Police Department or the District of Columbia Fire and Emergency Medical Service.
